In 2019, the operating revenue of China's equipment manufacturing industry only increased by 0.65% year-on-year, and the growth rate has slowed down for two consecutive years. The total profit has decreased by 3.13% year-on-year; Various industries are showing a trend of differentiation, especially in the automotive industry where the decline is significant; The overall foreign trade has steadily rebounded, with China's exports of mechanical and electrical products increasing by 4.4% year-on-year, and the export value denominated in RMB exceeding 10 trillion yuan. In 2020, especially since entering the third quarter, the economic performance indicators of China's equipment manufacturing industry have significantly stabilized. In October, the added value of the equipment manufacturing industry increased by 10.8% year-on-year, 3.9 percentage points faster than that of large-scale industries, maintaining double-digit growth for four consecutive months. The production of major products continued to recover. According to the "China Equipment Manufacturing Industry Prosperity Index" released by the Machinery Industry Economic Management Research Institute, in the short term, the consistency indicators of China's equipment manufacturing industry economic operation have shown signs of recovery, and the prosperity has entered a new round of short-term upward trend. The economic operation is showing a stable and positive trend; However, based on the trend of leading indicators, it is speculated that the probability of entering a cyclical contraction phase from 2021 has increased; In the long run, the long-term improvement of China's economy brings new opportunities for the structural adjustment, transformation and upgrading of the equipment manufacturing industry.
