Ultra high speed motor drive system unveiled at Beijing Science and Technology Week

On May 19th, the 2019 National Science and Technology Week and Beijing Science and Technology Week officially kicked off as the main venue. In the exhibition hall, more than 280 projects including intelligent inspection robots, oxygen health cabins, and gait retrieval all-in-one machines comprehensively showcase Beijing's technological innovation achievements in the fields of aerospace, intelligent equipment, and new materials.


The main event of Beijing Science and Technology Week focuses on the significant achievements made in strengthening the construction of the National Science and Technology Innovation Center in 2014 over the past five years. It includes four chapters: planning guidance, construction achievements, a better life, and science popularization for the benefit of the people. The exhibition features "scene based design, story based description, and prominent interactivity", utilizing technologies such as VR, AR, and MR to reflect Beijing's contribution to building a strong technological country, allowing the public to fully experience the scientific spirit contained in technological achievements, scientific charm, and technological innovation.


Beijing Wenli Technology Co., Ltd. showcased a 300000 rpm ultra high speed permanent magnet synchronous motor and drive control system, which can be used in low-power fuel cell air compressors and high-speed bearing test benches. The motor has the characteristics of oil-free, high-efficiency, and long service life due to the use of air bearings.


It is understood that the super high-speed motor refers to the motor with a rotating speed of more than 100000 rpm. It is an important part of high-end manufacturing equipment such as the air compressor of hydrogen fuel cell vehicles, the air circulation system of civil aviation airliners and fighters, the gyroscope of autonomous vehicle, and the motorized spindle of high-precision CNC machine tools. The staff explained that the ultra high speed motor and drive system involve many key technologies such as gas dynamic pressure bearings, permanent magnet fastening structures, high-frequency drive control, and device selection. These technologies have always been urgently needed in China's high-end equipment manufacturing, national defense, and other fields.


The main venue of this year's Science and Technology Week event will last until May 26th. The public can exchange their ID cards for paper tickets at the South Gate of the Military Museum of the Chinese People's Revolution, or follow the WeChat official account of "2019 Beijing Science and Technology Week" to reserve electronic tickets and enter the museum with their ID cards.
